The scenario was a meeting engagement on the southern edge
of The Third Offensive (The Federal Government’s attempt at eradicating the
People’s Republic military and their mercenary henchmen).
The forces met near the holding of Rinaldo’s Rest which is
also the home of the very first Rinaldo’s Rest restaurant and lounge. Both
sides noticed that militia from the surrounding countryside moved into the town
throughout the length of the battle and were joined by at least one merc company
that was not registered to either the Feds or PRs. They made no overtly hostile
moves towards either set of forces but later in the battle, the ECM on several
of the Freck’s Freikorps vehicles detected traces of laser targeting as they
passed near the settlement’s southern edge.
The Body Rollers, Zaporoskiye and New Israeli regiments
scored first blood, taking out several of the Slammer’s blowers in the initial
exchange of fire.

in an attempt to come to grips with what has happened.
